Kelly joined Legacy Link in January 2025 as a Developing Legacy Consultant.
She comes from the public sector with over 10 years’ experience as a Welfare Benefits Assessor for Local Authorities in Staffordshire.
In 2012, Kelly graduated from Staffordshire University with a degree in Law and went on to successfully complete the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in 2015.
Kelly’s introduction to Welfare Benefits came in 2010, when she began volunteering at the local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB). This experience directly led to working for Local Government Authorities in 2013.
In her role as a Benefits Assessor Kelly has become particularly skilled at processing technical information and relaying it to others in a non-technical manner, analysing and assessing complex and varied financial information and having difficult conversations in situations where the other party is emotional, upset, angry, frustrated or confused.
Kelly brings to the role a client focussed, empathetic, above and beyond approach to her work. She uses the transferable skills gained working in the public sector and her previous legal academic achievement to help clients within the charity sector.
She is a member of the ILM and is enrolled on their CiCLA (Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration) course. Kelly is looking forward to the challenge of learning, developing and fully immersing herself in all things Legacy Administration.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys going to the gym as well as taking walks in the Shropshire Hills and visiting National Trust sites with her family. She has a pet rabbit called Martin and is an avid fan of Aston Villa football club.
