Mary-Anne studied law at university whilst volunteering and obtaining work experience with several legacy teams. She then worked in a law firm in Swindon and trained to become a solicitor, being admitted to the roll in 2016.
After 5 years of working in Wills and Probate Mary-Anne decided to follow her passion to work in the charity sector. In 2018 she became a Senior Legacy Officer at PDSA, where she spent 5 years utilising her skills managing contentious and complex estates alongside a portfolio of residuary files.
After gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience in a national charity, Mary-Anne took advantage of a job opportunity at RNID where she learnt how a smaller charity and a smaller Legacy team operates.
Mary-Anne enjoys the variety and challenge of legacy work. She understands the importance of building relationships with solicitors and lay executors whilst protecting the interests of the charity and upholding the deceased’s wishes.
Mary-Anne joined Legacy Link in 2023 and is looking forward to supporting more charities with their legacies.
