After graduating with a degree in Art History in 2016, Ella joined Battersea in 2017 as the Legacy Administrator, where she became fascinated by the world of legacy giving.
Ella went on to receive a distinction in the Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration, and then progressed to working as a Legacy Officer, where she worked on many complex cases, including challenges to Wills, acting as Executor and dealing with fraudulent Solicitor Executors. Ella became the charity’s lead on matters involving fraud, after completing the ILM course ‘Identifying and Dealing with Pre-Death Fraud’ with a distinction.
Ella then joined RNID as Legacy Manager, where she worked closely with the legacy marketing team to help to promote Gifts in Wills to a variety of audiences. This experience then grew in her role as Legacy and Individual Giving Manager at the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, where Ella was solely responsible for the forecast and delivery of the Home’s annual Legacy income as well as making it her mission to boost the discussion around Legacies both internally and externally, stewarding some high value supporters towards gifts in Wills.
