Doug joined the team in 2022 and brings more than 25 years of experience analysing data to provide insight that drives action.

After a PhD and postdoc in science, he spent 20 years as an academic at the Open University specialising in learning analytics – analysing data about learners to understand and improve their learning – and leading data-centric digital innovation projects.

He then left academia and became a data science and research consultant, offering strategic advice and practical help with data analysis, digital transformation and procurement, and market analysis and benchmarking. When he’s not working, Doug likes walking, local conservation volunteering, and playing Minecraft.
